History

Since 1988, Asta Development has focused on developing project management software that helps organisations in a multitude of industries including construction, engineering, manufacturing, public sector and IT to improve their project success rates and overall business performance.

Having proved its capabilities over the years on high profile projects throughout the world such as Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam: Jumeirah Park, Dubai; The London Eye and The Shard in London, The Space Shuttle, New Orleans: Ipswich Motorway, Brisbane and The Reichstag, Berlin, Asta Powerproject is now used by thousands of planners in a wide variety of industry sectors in the UK, Europe, Asia Pacific and the USA. Companies large and small are using Asta Powerproject to successfully plan and manage projects of all sizes and are increasingly drawing on a growing range of new software applications within the product suite.

Asta’s core product, Asta Powerproject, is a professional project, portfolio and resource management software tool originally developed for the AEC industry when first released in 1988.  This highly innovative software revolutionised construction project planning and project management by allowing planners to draw their plans on screen as a linked bar chart, just as they previously did on paper. It is now widely recognised as one of the world’s leading project management software solutions for construction and used by most of the leading construction firms.

Asta Development currently has over 60,000 users worldwide. In the UK, it supports customers directly from its offices in Oxfordshire and Shropshire with a comprehensive range of services including consultancy, training and technical support. Outside the UK, it has a network of partners and distributors who supply, train and support customers on our software in 20 countries and in seven different languages.

Within the UK Asta Development operates as a reseller for TILOS and Asta Sitecontrol.
