Canon Localisation Services (www.cre.canon.co.uk),
a division of Canon Europe, has a 40-strong team who
carry out localisation and translation of software products
into more than 15 languages for internal and external
clients.
The Challenge
The project management
software used by the software engineering team did not
provide a centralised overview of the full project portfolio,
making it difficult to monitor resource utilisation and
forecast resource requirements.
The

to improve the management and resource utilisation across
multiple projects.

The management team can now accurately identify where
resources are needed most and forecast future resource
requirements with confidence. Reports are up-to-date
enabling the team to make decisions faster. Project
costs are accurately recorded so that the exact expenditure
by project can be monitored.
