New Italian motorway built with help from Asta Powerproject

The new motorway link from Brescia – Bergamo – Milano, known as Brebemi, is the new connection from Brescia to Milano and aims to reduce traffic on the most crowded communication route in Italy.

The project entails building a new motorway 62km long with three extra lanes in each direction. It also involves building new local roads and the renewal of 35km of existing roads. The motorway will run through the centre of Lombardia through 43 municipalities and 5 provinces.

Brebemi is the first Italian Project Financing motorway built without government contribution. The total cost of this project is Euro 1,6 billion.

Societa’ Di Progetto Brebemi S.p.A. Brescia (Italia) selected Asta Powerproject for the progress control in the building phase of the project.

“Asta Powerproject meets all of Brebemi’s needs in the control, monitoring and reporting of the information and dates given by the General Contractor during this phase of the project. It is an extremely flexible tool in planning and sharing the information coming from other project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project and Oracle Primavera, used by the general contractor and third parties”, said Geom. Gianfranco Quadretti.

Geom Quadretti started at Brebemi in May 2009 and is their Cost Control and Expropriation Manager and Planning and Control Manager. He has 25 years experience in technical divisions within major Italian building companies (Impregilo, Grassetto) and experience in several sectors of planning, management, and cost control.
