Walk around construction sites and update project progress into a PDA

Asta Site Progress uses PDA and web technology to enable quick and accurate progress reporting from construction sites.

It is designed to be easy to use, with progress 'ticked off' against a task list for each site. This is done either via a PDA as the site manager walks around the site, or via a web page. The progress is then automatically updated in Asta Powerproject.

This reduces update times and input errors compared to the traditional way of ‘faxing back’ progress updates.

Inputting progress with Asta Site Progress:

• Report progress quickly and easily from anywhere
  Activities to ‘progress check’ can be presented in the same order that the site manager walks around the site.

• No on site Internet connection needed
  Download files at the office and then take onto site on a laptop or PDA.

• Reduces administration
  No longer any need for progress updates to be faxed from site or data rekeyed into the project plans. Also reduce time spent visiting sites to get updates.

• Improve data accuracy – by automating the process
  Updates are more accurate because they are not re-keyed – giving less margin for human error. The frequency of progress reporting can be selected – daily, weekly, monthly, or ad-hoc.
