Project network diagrams with Asta Powernet

Asta Powernet is add-on network diagram software tool to Asta Powerproject that creates a precedence network diagram of all tasks in a view. This provides an alternative presentation of the dependencies between tasks in a project, which planners can use in addition to the standard linked bar chart view.

Project network diagram features:

Publish Network Diagram

Publish your linked bar chart as a precedence network diagram with a single action. Publish the whole project, or just the contents of a View.

You can make changes in the project network diagram – add links and tasks – and include these details in the Powerproject plan.

Select Node Format

The boxes – nodes – that represent a task in a precedence network diagram can be selected from a wide range of options. The data values and formatting (colour, font, etc) that can be displayed in each cell of the node can also be selected. This makes for a highly customisable project display.

Flexible layout

The initial node arrangement is organised around the critical path. The position of nodes can be changed into any arrangement you like, groups of nodes can be dragged to a new position. The node position can be remembered for later re-use.

The diagram can be banded by Code Library entry – to group task nodes of a similar type together. The diagram can be printed over a user defined range of pages and previewed before printing.
