Licensing Asta Easyplan with an Asta licence server
If you use Asta Easyplan with an Asta licence server to manage your licences, you use the Asta Licensing Wizard to specify the licence servers that contain details of your Asta Easyplan licences, so that your copy of Asta Easyplan is able to access a free licence, which it needs to operate.
If your System Administrator has installed and enabled your Asta licence server, you can license the software when you install it. If your Asta licence server has not yet been installed and enabled, you can install Asta Easyplan in trial mode and license it later, using the Asta Licensing Wizard, once the licence server has been set up.
To license Asta Easyplan using one or more Asta licence servers:
Select the License command from the Help menu, then select the License Software command. The Asta Licensing Wizard appears.
Either enter the location of your Asta licence server(s) into the Asta Licensing Wizard, or allow the wizard to search for all Asta licence servers on the local computer and on all mapped drives.
Select the Asta licence server(s) you want to use to license Asta Easyplan. Each Asta licence server contains a certain number of licences. Asta Easyplan searches the servers you specify for a spare licence. If none of the licence servers in the list has a spare licence, you cannot use Asta Easyplan and you may need to purchase further licences: contact Asta's Sales Department for details.
